Multiple timezones, one looooooong event

An Android Worldwide is always happening at a relevant time for you. No more staying up at night or waking up at odd hours to attend global Android events.

Starting at 7:00PM in the Asia Pacific region, our event stretches across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and finally, North America. That's about 14 hours filled with talks, socializing, meeting new people, and all in all, having a blast.

Tune in at any time to get started, or grab your coffee and try staying for the entire time 😆

FAQs

For everyone
Can I join AndroidWorldwide?
Expand question
Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us, newbies and maestros alike. The best way is to hop right into our Slack workspace and say hi in the #introductions channel!
How do I attend one of the events?
Expand question
Our events take place on the last Tuesday in the months of January, April, July, and October. The best way to stay tuned to our event announcements is to follow us on Twitter, or join our Slack workspace. Once we've announced an upcoming event, head over to the registration page and save a spot for yourself. Then, on the day of the event, show up at any time and listen to an ongoing talk or chat with people at one of the virtual tables.
Can I submit a talk for the next event?
Expand question
Absolutely. All skill levels and experience levels are welcome to submit a talk to AndroidWorldwide. We usually announce the Call for Speakers on Twitter and Slack two months ahead of the event, and it stays open for almost a month. Feel free to submit a talk for whichever time slot works best for you, and should you need help with your abstract or speaker mentorship, send us a message on Sessionize and we'll be in touch within a day.
What's in it for me?
Expand question
Our community and our events are a space to learn, grow, have fun, and meet people in tech from across the world. You can pick up new skills when you attend a talk at our events, forge connections with people in different countries, or even meet your next co-founder. There's so many possibilities, and the best way to find out is to give it a shot!
For organizers
How do I become a partner community?
Expand question
Tweet to us or reach out at organizers@android-worldwide.com, and we'll reach out and get the process started. There's no eligibility criteria, so say hi and let's talk!
Why should my community be interested?
Expand question
Our primary mission is to help community organizers operate more efficiently without increasing workloads, and create a global community that fosters learning, sharing and growing together. We believe the best way to accomplish the former is through a shared pipeline of speakers, so you can spend less time hunting for one and more time making your event successful. Every quarterly event's content will be sourced from a Call for Papers which attracts diverse content. Every submitted talk is available for our partners (you!) to pick for themselves, which means you will not need to find speakers for any of your Android events, and speakers can have more opportunities to present! As for the latter, well, jump in to our Slack to talk about everything from Android TILs to rants about random shit that's going down in your corner of the world.
What does being a partner mean?
Expand question
Once you join the Android Worldwide community, you're part of our global group where we help each other, ask questions, share content, and of course, host quarterly Android Worldwide events with communities from over 15 countries coming together for a day of talks spread across multiple timezones. Participation in these events is optional, but it's a whole lotta fun without the heavy lifting of organizing alone.
Can I have an introduction call?
Expand question
Absolutely! We'd love to chat about all things community, and would be happy to get on a call. There's so many ways we can help each other, regardless of whether we end up working together or not. Send us an email at organizers@android-worldwide.com, and we'll set something up
